A home sauna can sound like a project: a spare room, new wiring, a weekend of work, one more thing to manage.

The people who bought the Relaxe Caldera describe something simpler. It is a plug-in cabin that goes together once and then gets used. Here are seven reasons, in their own words.

1

It needs less room than you think

The One Person is 36 by 43 inches on the floor and 75 inches tall. Relaxe lists a minimum room of about 5 by 5.5 feet with a 7-foot ceiling.

One owner keeps it in the bedroom, and others chose the One Person size because space was tight.

“I was looking for a sauna that was easy to install and maintain in limited space.”
Robert W., owner review, One Person
“The sauna gets up to 142 degrees for me and we keep it in our bedroom.”
Joshua M., Relaxe owner
“It honestly looks incredible in the space and feels very well built.”
Connor, owner review, Two Person

It plugs into the wall

Relaxe lists the One Person as a 120 V, 15 A unit on a standard wall outlet. The Two Person needs a dedicated 20 A circuit and the Three Person a dedicated 240 V circuit. If you want the simplest setup, the One Person is the size built for an ordinary outlet.

“I have the single person sauna for space issues and I did not want to rewire for anything bigger.”
Dawn, owner review, One Person

Check the power first

Owners describe different outlet setups at home, so confirm the requirement for your size on the product page and ask an electrician if you are unsure.

Setup is not a construction project

It arrives in 2 to 5 days, free shipping, flat-packed in three to four labelled boxes that fit through standard doorways. A screw kit and an installation guide are inside, and Relaxe says two people can put it together with basic tools.

Owners who built it describe it as manageable, including one couple in their late 60s, and say help is there if you need it.

“With two people, it came together quickly and without frustration, which I really appreciated for something of this size.”
Connor, owner review, Two Person
“Everything is very light and was easy to carry to our basement - and my wife and I are in our late 60’s.”
Robert H., owner review, Two Person
“I had many questions and even asked for a video on how to put it together and the help I received was fast and so helpful.”
Michelle, owner review, One Person

Running it takes three settings

Set the temperature (64 to 149 °F), set the timer (0 to 90 minutes), choose the lighting. There are control panels inside and outside the cabin, and Bluetooth for your music. Each feature switches on and off on its own, so the session is yours to shape.

“Set the top temp, set the time and the ambient lighting and you are good go.”
Marty D., owner review, One Person
“I love that each and every feature can be turned on independently so you can customize exactly what you want to use at any given time.”
Becky B., owner review, Two Person
“I listen to my favorite podcast each morning and let the sauna do the rest.”
Brennen S., owner review, One Person

Everything for the session is already in the cabin

Besides the infrared heaters, the Caldera comes with a full-body red light therapy panel with protective glasses, a Himalayan salt bar, colored light strips, stereo speakers you can connect by Bluetooth, a cup holder, a towel rack, a magazine rack and a foldable tray. All of it comes with the sauna.

“It’s got all the luxury bells and whistles, even in the one person unit we bought.”
Jackie H., owner review, One Person
“The interior lighting, speakers, and overall design make it feel like a high-end spa, not just a sauna.”

It becomes part of your week

The test of a home sauna is whether you keep using it. 86 of the 87 owners who reviewed the Caldera say they use it every day (27) or several times a week (59). One uses it weekly. Those are their own answers on the review form, given when they wrote the review.

“been using it after workouts, before bed, or just when we feel like it.”
Jessica G., owner review, One Person
“My husband and I enjoy sitting in the sauna together in the evenings to relax.”
Becky B., owner review, Two Person
“It has become part of our wellness routine!”

A year to be sure, and support if you need it

Relaxe offers a 365-day home trial. If it is not right for you, you can return it for a full refund of the sauna price, with no restocking fees. You pay the return shipping, so read the full terms on the product page before you order.

There is also a three-year warranty with technician service. The product page covers heaters, electronics and wood panels, with free replacement parts and U.S.-based technician support. It does not name the red light panel in that list, so read the warranty terms to see exactly what is covered.

On the product page the Caldera is rated 4.9 out of 5 from 87 reviews: 79 five-star, 8 four-star, none lower. All 87 reviewers recommend it.

“I’ve used many dry saunas before, but this one is far better.”
Dori L., owner review, Two Person
“I needed a replacement part and customer service was outstanding. Very responsive with daily updates.”

How we checked this page

Prices, the offer, sizes, power requirements, delivery, trial and warranty terms come from the Relaxe product page. Owner quotes are from the reviews on that page, quoted as written and sometimes shortened. Individual experiences vary.

What it costs

From $3,999, with three sizes

The One Person size starts at $3,999. On the product page it shows 24% off a $5,299 total value, and the Fall Season Offer banner says savings of up to 35%. The Two Person is $5,499 and the Three Person is $7,999.

Relaxe describes its “total value” as a comparison figure set from the selling prices of similar products, not a price the sauna was sold at before. Fall Season Offer pricing is a limited-time offer and may end without notice.

Questions before you buy

How much space do I need?

Relaxe lists a minimum room of about 5 by 5.5 feet with a 7-foot ceiling for the One Person, 5.5 by 5.5 feet for the Two Person and 9 by 5.5 to 6 feet for the Three Person. Measure your room against the dimensions in reason 1 first.

Do I need an electrician?

It depends on the size and your home. Relaxe lists a standard outlet for the One Person, a dedicated 20 A circuit for the Two Person and a dedicated 240 V circuit for the Three Person. Owners describe different setups, so check the requirement for your size on the product page and ask an electrician if you are unsure.

How long does it take to heat up?

Relaxe lists about 10 to 15 minutes to reach optimal heat for most users. Owners say it varies with the size and with how hot you set it, so higher temperatures take longer. The heat is adjustable from 64 to 149 °F.

How hard is it to put together?

It comes flat-packed in three to four labelled boxes with a screw kit and an installation guide, and Relaxe says two people can assemble it with basic tools. If you get stuck, owners say support answers fast and sends assembly videos.

Which size should I choose?

The One Person is the default and the one that suits a smaller space and a standard outlet. A Two Person owner suggests going larger if you want to stretch out or lie down. Check the room and power requirements in reasons 1 and 2.

What if I do not like it, or something breaks?

Relaxe offers a 365-day home trial with a full refund of the sauna price and no restocking fees. You cover the return shipping. It also lists a three-year warranty with technician service and free replacement parts. The product page does not name the red light panel in the coverage list, so read the warranty terms.

Does this page make health claims?

No. This page describes what the sauna includes and what owners say about owning it. It does not claim that a sauna or a red light panel treats or prevents any condition. If you have a medical condition, talk to your doctor before you start using a sauna.
